Terms and Conditions
For payments made through the Family Portal — Donations, Church Renovation Fund contributions, and Monthly Subscription dues. Includes our refund policy.
1. Applicability
These Terms and Conditions govern all payments made through the St Joseph's Parish Church, Sarjapura Family Portal ("the Portal") by approved parish family members, including Monthly Subscription dues, Donations, and Church Renovation Fund contributions. By proceeding to make a payment on the Portal, you agree to these terms.
2. Eligibility
Only registered and approved Family Portal members, signed in with their own credentials, may make payments through the Portal on behalf of their family.
3. Nature of payments
All amounts paid through the Portal are voluntary religious and charitable contributions toward the pastoral and community activities of the parish. They are not payments for goods or services, and are not commercial transactions.
4. Accuracy of information
You are responsible for reviewing the donation category, subscription month(s), and amount selected before proceeding to payment. The parish office relies on this information to record and acknowledge your contribution correctly.
5. Payment processing and convenience fee
Payments are processed through Easebuzz, a third-party payment aggregator regulated by the Reserve Bank of India. The parish does not store your card, UPI, or banking details on its own servers. Depending on the payment method you choose, a convenience fee (inclusive of applicable GST) may be added on top of your contribution amount to cover payment-processing charges — this is shown on the payment page before you confirm payment. UPI payments currently carry no convenience fee.
6. Receipts
On successful payment, a receipt is emailed to your registered email address, including a PDF invoice summarizing the contribution(s), the transaction reference, and the date and time of payment (Indian Standard Time). Please retain this for your records.
7. Refund policy
Because contributions are voluntary and are applied by the parish toward its activities as soon as they are received, all successfully completed payments are final and non-refundable, regardless of the reason — including a change of mind, a contribution made in error, or a contribution a member no longer wishes to have made. This applies to every payment method supported on the Portal (UPI, Debit Card, Credit Card, and Net Banking) and to every type of contribution listed above.
This policy applies only to payments that are successfully completed and confirmed by Easebuzz. If a payment attempt fails, is cancelled, or does not complete for any reason, the parish does not charge or receive that amount. Any amount temporarily held or debited by your bank or UPI app for an unsuccessful transaction is reversed automatically by your bank or Easebuzz, in line with standard banking timelines — this is not a refund issued by the parish, since no successful contribution was ever made.
If you believe an amount was debited from your account but your payment was not correctly reflected on the Portal (for example, a Donation or Monthly Subscription row was not marked "Paid" after a successful debit), please contact the parish office with your transaction reference so the payment can be verified with Easebuzz and your record corrected. This is a correction of a technical discrepancy, not a refund of a completed contribution.
8. Security
The parish does not collect, store, or process your card, UPI, or bank account details — these are handled entirely by Easebuzz's secure, PCI-DSS-compliant systems.
9. Use of funds
Contributions received through the Portal are used by the parish for its religious, pastoral, administrative, and community purposes — including the Church Renovation Fund and ongoing parish operations — at the discretion of the parish administration.
10. Limitation of liability
While the parish takes reasonable care to ensure the Portal functions correctly, it is not liable for any indirect loss arising from a delay, interruption, or technical failure of the Portal or of Easebuzz's systems, beyond correcting the underlying payment record once verified.
11. Governing law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Karnataka.
12. Changes to these terms
The parish may revise these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the Portal to make payments after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
